Summary

Unit 11 is concerned with nonwoven nanoweb structures and their production technologies. The nonwoven nano web technologies are concerned with the manufacture of webs from nanofibres. It studies conventional electrospinning technologies as well as the nanospider technology which does not use nozzles, needles or spinnerets for the production of nanofibres. Other technologies such as the islands-in-the-sea fibre technology and the melt-blown process are also considered.
